Love Date Nights

It's been awhile since I have been able to update... craziness all the time. This will probably just be me rambling about the past couple weeks...

Valentines Day: Stephen and I had a wonderful date. First, we went to PF Chang's, and had a total blast... no wedding talk, or house talk, just some time for me and him! It was much needed. Following dinner, we went to the Galleria to ice skate! SO SO SO much fun.... Stephen had everyone cracking up. He fell 4 different times, hard, but it was the funniest thing in the world. He always makes me laugh, but I was crying so hard the whole time we skated. I did not fall once :) The rest of the evening we spent playing Wii and watching movies. It was a wonderful night. Looking forward to dates like this the rest of my life.

Ward/Sheffield Family date: Fun evening with the Sheffields and our kiddos! Binky loves Mili. He once called her "Baby", but is now talking up a storm and calls her "Minnie". I love it- he says, "Nae, Minnie". Not quite sure if he cares about Stephen, but Stephen is trying his hardest! :) It was a wonderful time and the kids were able to play. Mili couldn't care less that he doesn't just have a conversation back, she just talks away... It's actually what she probably prefers. She is growing up so fast, it's weird to watch it right before my eyes. Where is the little toddler I first meet? She has turned into my shopping buddy, the girl I ask which dress looks better on me? lol. And she always answers, "Dad is going to love that".

Slam Dunk Teacher Night: Just like the post I previously wrote about the girl's teacher appreciation night, the boys had theirs too. I went with one of my students, it was really nice. No pictures needed though- he is a boy lol. Anyways, something that was honoring and a very sweet memory.

We registered at Target! This was a fun afternoon... except I am scared about what all ended up on the list because Stephen had the gun and was shooting all kinds of stuff. Hope he gets his Spiderman beach towel!! Might I add, afterwards Stephen said I was allowed to shop for me... Him and Mili are the only ones who got anything, oh well, I am use to it (and wouldn't trade it for the world) :) And to be fair, I did eventually get new black heels later that day!!

Houses... well... we are still looking. It seems every time we think we found "it". We walk in and hate it. Our house is out there, I know it, I just wish we knew which one it was already lol. Sometimes the Lord works like that, testing my patience... it's a lesson He seems to have to teach me often. Guess it's something I need to work on.

Last night... Crush lounge in the Woodlands. Stephen and I went to a birthday party for one of his co-workers. He rented out the rooftop at Crush lounge. It was BEAUTIFUL. I LOVE getting to dress up. A cute dress, nails done, and bought some cute Anne Klein black heels. It was fun night!!! Stephen got new jeans too, I might add, he looked HOT- I was the luckiest woman there! :)

Looking forward to engagement pictures, the Ward girls shower, lingerie shower, church shower and Bachelorette party... it's coming up quickly! We will be married in just over 2 months and it can't get here soon enough.

Well that's it for now... Spring Break is in 3 weeks-I, we, are sooooo ready!!

I love how NOTHING is too big for God...

... and how God's Word speaks for itself. Lord, you never cease to amaze me. I am sorry Lord when I try to control things, when I think I know what's best. I don't want my plans, I want Yours for our life. You are so amazing! I am so thankful for how You are allowing for me to see how things are just falling into place for my family to be.

"Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, beloved, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things." Philippians 4:6-8

Trust in the Lord and do good; so you will live in the land, and enjoy security. Take delight in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will do this: He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun. Be still before the Lord, and wait patiently for him." Psalm 37:3-7

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you," delares the Lord, "and will bring you back from captivity." Jeremiah 29:11-14

"The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing." Zephaniah 3:17

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28

"If God is for us, who can be against us? Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:3,35,37-39

"God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them." Hebrews 6:10

"There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. We love because he first loved us." 1 John 4:18-19

Wonderful Weekend

Friday evening: Me, my man and the Rockets... doesn't get any better than that!

Saturday, "Chelsea Day": Stephen told me on Friday afternoon that Saturday was going to be National Chelsea Day (something he used to do often when we first started dating, so it was a sweet surprise). He plans half of the day to spoil me and then allows me to decide what we do the rest of the day- doesn't complain for a second and is game for anything . He even went a step further and had sent texts out to friends telling them to wish me "Happy Chelsea Day", super cute. So we started our day by going to Helzberg and buying my two wedding bands, all 3 rings together look BEAUTIFUL, not to mention HUGE! He did wonderful with my rings... picked out everything himself! Next, we looked at what was going to be our dream home, a big N-O! We hated it, maybe not hate, but knew it wasn't for us. So we are still praying about that-we refuse to settle, but if I allow myself to worry, I could stay stressed about where we are going to live. After we met Amanda for Pei Wei, we took a quick nap, so Stephen could beat me badly in wii bowling. Finally, Stephen wanted to cook me dinner on "my day" but neither of us were hungry, it was so sweet, because he stayed upset about this for several hours. He went as far to drag us to the store to buy all the ingredients, just to get there and to turn around and leave, but it was the thought that counted :) However, we ended the night on a fun note, with watching our Rockets- they did lose- but we had fun cheering them on til the end!

Sunday: Sunday school, church, dinner on the grounds, and sing spiration to follow... It was a wonderful morning/afternoon. Took a quick nap (see the pattern lol) and now watching the Colts win... well I hope. However, my fiance is trying to hurry me off the computer because I don't even "respect" the Superbowl enough to be cheering for a team, since I am not watching every second. So, I must go... gotta make the man happy, well at least for the next 3 months. Muhahaha!! JK LOL. (He won't think that is too funny) Final thought- Go COLTS. That team and whole organization were so good to my boy, JD, in his last days. And still continue to encourage my family, some true men of God. Hope they can pull this one out for JD, who I might add, has the best seat of all this year. Miss and love you more every day J and D!!

Ready for another week- one more closer to Spring Break!!!
